/me 6mth contract with <strike>Sun</strike>Oracle

I'm going to get a chance to work for SunOracle Microsystems while they're still called Sun! :)

Myself and Mum finally got to go up in a hot air balloon:

Good fun :) Helping put up balloon and flying.
Didn't feel like flying - was very calm and gentle.

Heh heh, we get chickens and Freakangels get chickens

SIP, XMPP(Jabber) and strophe

Looking into SIP, XMPP(Jabber), other things.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Session_Initiation_Protocol
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real-time_Transport_Protocol
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extensible_Messaging_and_Presence_Protocol
http://code.stanziq.com/strophe/

libstrophe looks interesting ... BUT

1. what's this scons thing? http://www.scons.org/ (make + automake replacement in python)
2. it won't build ... snapshot or git clone
git clone git://code.stanziq.com/libstrophe

Ahhh. No changes in a while (January) now a couple of recent changes:
http://code.stanziq.com/cgit/strophe/libstrophe/log/SConstruct "20 hours Removed SCons."
http://code.stanziq.com/cgit/strophe/libstrophe/log/src/ "Abstracted XML parser library and switched to autotools building."
http://groups.google.com/group/strophe-dev/

Hah ha ha.
I don't see any stable release available for download for libstrophe source.

This slightly older svn builds with scons

Oh well, let's leave this mess scattered over the floor.

pink mountain bike

Yes, it's possible. See.
Would you like a picture of Kate's purple/pink chopper bike?
:-)

bike weights

My bike	15.6kg	Specialized hybrid (with mountain-bike tyre on back (more by accident than design))
Fionn's bike	19kg	pink mountainbike from when she was in secondary school
Daire's bike	12.5kg	blue - feels heavier
Kate's bike	11.8kg	purple chopper type - close to Daire's - looks/feels alot lighter - weird
Maeve's bike	7.5kg	green + stabilizers
me	67kg

I'm not a Drupal developer but have done lots of backend web messing :)

Of course Drupal will be obsolete if all this Cloud computing really takes over all the web stuff.
Won't it? :) anyway :-P

I'm staying here (ha ha the .asp the links don't work on sub-pages) :-P
